Published GTA ranges for 1,000 sq ft, before HST, run about $3,000 to $7,000 for laminate, $5,000 to $9,000 for vinyl plank, $8,000 to $15,000 for engineered hardwood and $10,000 to $18,000 for solid hardwood.
Removal is a separate line: $1 to $2 per sq ft for carpet, laminate or nailed hardwood, and $3 to $6 per sq ft for tile. Older vinyl or asphalt tile should be tested for asbestos before removal.
