Rosedale floors in Victorian, Georgian and Edwardian houses
Rosedale’s houses were built largely in the early 1900s in Edwardian, Georgian Revival and Tudor styles, with Victorian houses among them, and many are more than a century old. South Rosedale and North Rosedale are both City of Toronto Heritage Conservation Districts. Heritage rules focus on exteriors, but owners here usually want the interior to match: wood floors refinished rather than covered, and replacement boards that blend with what is already there.
